Too bad this coupon didn't come out yesterday as our grocery store had a good sale on these. I'll be printing these off and holding onto them for another sale to come along.

Thanksgiving Day Shopping Trip-Profit!

In all the busyness of Thanksgiving I forgot to post this. I was able to take advantage of some pretty good Thanksgiving sales. Here is what I all got for $4.64 out of pocket but then after a $7 mail in rebate I will have essentially made $3.65 for buying this. Wohoo!

Chinet Plates $.49

This week at Walgreens, there is a in ad coupon that makes the Chinet plates buy one at $2.99 get one free. You can use 2 of the $1 coupons found here(IE) or here(FF). That would bring your total down to $.99 for two packs of paper plates. Make sure they scan the in ad coupon, one too many times I've had to go back and have them refund me the amount because I forgot about the in ad coupon.

Change to Redbox Codes

Redbox has now changed the way they do their monthly Monday movie codes. You now have to be signed up online to get them text messaged. Each code that is messaged will be unique and unable to be shared. This is a bummer so make sure you sign up to get these codes texted to you on the first Monday of every month.

Apparently, Walgreens should be having their sparkling grape juice on sale next week for $2.50. Use this coupon here(IE) or here (FF) to save $2 and pay just $.50 a bottle. This should come in handy with the holidays coming up.

October Grocery Challenge

October is almost over and I just have one more shopping trip on Wed. to Pick N Save which I already have mapped out. This month I realized God has blessed us with an over abundance of food from all the good deals. I decided we really needed to try and use up as much as we could without buying too much extra. I only took out money for the first half of the month for groceries which is $120. After my trip on Wed. I will still have $3 left. Now mind you, I did get a few rebates back this month from food I bought previous months so I may have gotten more than $117 worth of groceries but for me the real point is that I spent half our budget. We still have quite a bit of food so I'm going to see how well I can do in November as well. One big thing, besides couponing, that has helped me is to menu plan. Since I do the envelope budget, I will take out money for the first half of the month and put in the food envelope. I will make a list of meals for the first 15 days, that way I can look through the cupboards and freezers to see what we already have and base meals off that. Then I may only need a few items from the store. I can save the budget money to continue to stock up on great sales.

Fun Shopping Trip

So I've kinda hung back a little in coupon deals. There haven't been a ton of awesome ones lately. I had a pretty good shopping trip this Saturday afternoon. After unloading everything, I decided it was worth a picture and post. After a mail in rebate of $15 and then a $4 off your next purchase coupon, I spent $34 for all this:

25 Puffs tissues
4 9pks. Quilted Northern toilet paper
1 gallon whole milk
10 pk. Bagel Chips
8 pks. Ore Ida Easy Fries
10 pks. Pillsbury cookie dough
2 boxes Ritz crackers
3 boxes Honey Maid graham crackers
5 boxes Saltines
1 Gillette razor
4 bananas
4 Zantacs
2 bags Lifesaver gummies
4 Glade Sense & Sprays

It was about $175 worth of stuff. So a savings of 81%. I was glad to get a good stockpile of crackers and bagel chips as John and the kids loooove crackers.

Marcus Theaters Cheap Movies

My mom got these great coupons at the movie theater the other day and passed some on to me. Apparently Marcus Theaters is celebrating 74 years and are running a promotion. The week of Mon. Nov 2-Thurs. Nov 5, you can go to a movie for $4 with this coupon. It's good for up to four admissions. There is also a coupon on there for a $4 Popcorn & Drink combo for those same days and also good for up to 4 people. So for less than the cost of a regular movie ticket, you can see a movie and get a popcorn & soda. Check your local Marcus Theater to see if you can get your hands on these coupons.

Here's a great post with some tips on how to save on ink when printing out coupons.

Pick N Save-Other Good Deals for today

If you didn't care to have a whole bunch of cookie dough, the following would also work for the same deal I mentioned: Pillsbury cresent rolls, dinner rolls, cinnamon rolls, or pizza crust. Those are priced at $1.66 ea. and since you must purchase 6 to get the $4 coupon and the $5 coupon here's an example:
6 Cinnamon rolls $9.96
-$3($1/2 coupons here and here)
$6.96 get $9 in coupons
or if you had enough other groceries to get the coupons doubled you'd pay $3.66 and get $9 in coupons back. If I didn't already have a refrigerator full of cresent rolls and cinnamon rolls(from another deal that wasn't this sweet) I would get some. It's a great moneymaker.

Okay, here is a little peek into what some of you might think is out there but stick with me. If you had acess to two computers for printing out coupons(i have a laptop as well as our desktop) then you'd be able to print off enough cinnamon roll and cresent roll coupons from the two sites to be able to do this:
30 cinnamon/cresent rolls(i'm not sure if it would work to do them all together, i think you'd need to split them up by 6's) $49.8
-$15 coupons
$34.8 you'd spend out of pocket but then you'd get $45 in coupons for future purchases.
This would be a $10 moneymaker! (or if you had tons of other groceries to buy and got the coupons to double it would be a $25 moneymaker)
*Disclaimer-I'm not showing you this so that you'll go out and do it(although I would be tempted to if I didn't already have so many of them) but just wanted to show you how my type of couponing(and stockpiling) can get you lots of good(okay maybe not healthy but yummy) food for free or even get paid to take it home.

Pick N Save-Free Pillsbury cookie dough

This deal is only good today as it's double coupon day. When you buy 6 packages of Pillsbury cookie dough(I like to put mine in the freezer so I don't feel like I have to eat them all right away, even though I still do, lol) you'll get 2 different catalinas to print out. There will be a $5 off your next purchase of flowers and a $4 off your next purchase for a total of $9 off your next purchase(and like the milk coupons they always have you don't have to spend $5 on flowers you could spend less and the full $5 will come off). Pillsbury cookie dough is on sale for $2.50 this week and there are $1/2 printables here and here. So make sure you spend $25 and use 3 of the $1 coupons that will double and your transaction will look like this:

6 Pillsbury cookie doughs $15
$10 in other stuff
$25
-$6(doubled coupon)
$19 and get back $9 in coupons to use towards your next purchase so it's like you didn't pay anything for the cookie dough.

Cheap Carpet Cleaner & Free Movie Ticket

* Updated- My mom told me this stuff worked really well for her so I decided to give it a try on some of the spots on the rug in the girl's room. I was impressed! It got the stain out. I was planning on looking into having some one come to clean to rug because it was disgusting but now I'll just have to set aside some time to scrub away at those stains. I'm going to call the company to tell them how happy I am with the product. So if you haven't already, I would REALLY urge you to do this deal. I think it's definitely worth it!

Spot Shot carpet cleaner is currently running a promotion where you can get a free movie ticket. Just purchase a spot shot product(I found some priced for $2.99 at Target) and the click here to fill out the form to mail in. It will say a movie ticket for the move Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs, but it will be a generic movie ticket that you will be able to use for any movie. You can also find a $1 printable coupon here(you may have to search around for it). Then you could pay $1.99 and get a carpet cleaning product and a free movie ticket. My husband and I just went to the movies the other night and noticed that it costs $8.50 a ticket to see a movie. Luckily we have free tickets from some other deal.

Target-Apple Juice/Sauce

Target has a pretty good deal on Mott's Apple Juice and 6 pks. of applesauce. When you buy 5 of them priced at $1.75 ea. you get a $5 Target giftcard. After factoring in the giftcard, it's like paying $.75 ea. You can keep using the $5 giftcard to purchase more and get a new giftcard. My kids can't get enough juice(even with watering it down) so I will be stocking up big time at this price.

Redbox Code

Here is the free code(sent on the first monday of the month)

K-Mart Double Coupons Week

This is the last time for awhile that K-Mart will be doing their double coupons promotion. I'm very sad about this but I hope next year they will bring it back. Since this is a pretty big deal I'll just be posting a few of the deals that stick out to me and then a link of a huge coupon match up so you can figure out which deals will work for you. Also, the stores near me have not enforced the 10 coupon limit so it might be worth a try to do more than that. There is a $5 off a $50 purchase coupon here and the $50 is your subtotal before tax and before coupons.

Post Trail Mix Crunch Cereal $3.79
Use $2/1 printable HERE
Final Price: FREE

Rimmel Superlash Mascara $3.59
Use $2/1 HERE or from 8/23 RP
Final Price: FREE

Speedstick Deodorant $2.50 (men's or women's)
Use $1.50/1 printable HERE (33907-this is the zip code you'll use on the website)
Final Price: FREE

Kotex Liners $1.29
Use $1/1 HERE
Final Price: FREE

Dove Ultimate Deodorant $3.99
Use $2/1 printable HERE
Final Price: FREE

Huggies Overnights $9.99
Use $2/1 HERE
Final Price: $5.99

Welch's Squeezable or 32 oz Jelly $2
Use $.75/1 printable HERE
Final Price: .50 each

Those are all just a few of the deals and I just picked the ones that were printable coupons. So here is a possible scenerio for someone :

2 Welch's Jellys $4
2 Dove deo. $7.98
2 Kotex liners $2.58
2 Speedstick deo. $5
2 Rimmel mascaras $7.18
2 Post cereal $7.58
2 Huggies overnights $19.98
$54.30
-$5/50 K-mart coupon
-$3 Welch's
-$7.98 Dove
-$2.58 Kotex
-$5 Speedstick
-$7.18 Rimmel
-$7.58 Post
-$8 Huggies
$7.98 + tax

So you'd get all that stuff for less than even the normal cost of one pack of diapers. Just wanted to give you an idea of what you could possibly do. And you're not limited to just doing that once. If there were many things you were interested in getting, then print off a couple of the $5/50 coupons and split up your stuff into different transaction.

Here is the huge list thanks to Charlene at My Frugal Adventures!

Target: 50 cent Ice Cream

If you're an ice cream lover, then here's a deal for you: purchase 5 1.5 qts. of Edy's Ice Cream(so many yummy flavors available like Cookies & Cream, Drumstick, too many to mention) at $2.50 each and you'll get a $5 target giftcard. The deal gets even sweeter when you print off and use 5 of the $1 off Edy's ice cream target coupons. You'll end up paying $2.50 for 5 things of ice cream after the giftcard and coupons are factored in. You can't use the $5 giftcard to pay for that transaction but I usually always keep one on hand(from doing a few of there other gift card promotions) so I basically just use one and then a new one to save for future deals. I don't know about you but I'm running to Target to stock up our freezer.

*for those of you who are local readers, the Sheboygan Target is the place to go to score this deal, the other one doesn't carry much frozen stuff

Back to blogging

I've been away from blogging for awhile. I'm not sure why. I guess I've just gotten lazy or overwhelmed with it. I'll try to get back into it a little. I'd love to help pass on the deals I hear about.

*Updated Cheap Milk

*I guess this coupon is gone already. There is however a coupon for a free gallon of milk when you purchase $100. Definitely not as good of a deal but if you happen to be spending that much(don't forget Wal-Mart and Target sell milk) get some free milk.
There is a coupon available to print on coupons.com (you have to enter in zip code 63090) for a free 1/2 gallon of chocolate milk when you buy a gallon of white milk. I printed off two of these and headed to Walgreens. You could use them at any other store that will allow you to use a printable coupon for a free item(I know Pick N Save will not take these). So I got a gallon of whole milk($2.19) and a gallon of skim milk ($1.89) and then two 1/2 gallons of chocolate milke ($2.99 ea.) and I paid $1.16. Apparently the coupon takes the whole $3.75 off(that is the maximum value of the coupon) so it made my milk really cheap. So don't wait to print off those coupons and take advantage of cheap milk. It won't last long.

Bargain for those trying to conceive

Some of you may know that the Dollar Tree sells pregnancy tests. That has saved me quite a bit of money in the past since I'm very impatient and like to test many times before my actual missed period. Well, I just discovered that our local Pick N Save also sells pregnancy tests for $1 so if you don't have a dollar store nearby(which we don't) then you have another closer option. They can be found in the dollar section nearby the candy and magazines.

Planning for Pick N Save on Wed.

Next week Wed. looks pretty promising for some good deals. I'm planning on getting there bright and early Wed. as we're sorta on vacation that week with family so I probably won't get to post pictures. We're having my daughter's birthday party that Sat. so that's why I'm getting so many buns and hamburger meat. Luckily I stocked up on hot dogs a few weeks back so planning the menu for the party was quite easy.

I plan on doing 4 transactions as follows:

1st:

2 Nestle cookie dough $6 get free milk, $1 coupons online

3 Marcal napkins $6, $1 coupons 5/17 ss

6 lbs. ground beef $11.94

1 hamb. Buns $1.09

25.03

-10(5 $1 coupons doubled)

$15.03 get free milk coupon

2nd:

2 boxes lipton soup mix 2.5

4 hamb. Buns $4.36

3 hot dog buns $3.27

3 Breyer’s Ice Cream $7.5, $1 coupon 5/17 rp

2 Nestle cookie dough $6 get free milk coupon, $1 coupons

Strawberries $1.50

25.13

-10(5 $1 coupons doubled)

15.13 get free milk coupon

3rd:

Breyer’s Ice Cream $2.50, $1 coupons 5/17 rp

4 Kraft cheese $8, $1/2 coupons, $1/2 coupons kraft website

2 Applesauce $2.50

2 Honey Maid graham crackers $6, $1 coupon kraft website

Free cascade rinse $3.50

Wheat bread $1.50

2 Peaches $1

$25

-$13.5(5 $1 coupons doubled and free cascade coupon from home mailer)

$11.5

4th:

4 boxes Cheerios 13.16, $1 coupons from e-mail sign up

2 box Lucky Charms 7.38, $.55 coupons from betty crocker.com

3 Playtex Hand Saver gloves $3, $1 coupons from 5/3 ss

Strawberries $1.50

$25.04

-$10

-$13.10(5 $1 coupons doubled, 2 $1 coupons, 2 $.55 coupons)

$1.94 get 2 free milk coupons

Total spent: $43.60 - $14 in free milk coupons $29.60

* I am a little worried about the Nestle cookie promotion though because I just heard there was a recall on the cookie dough so I'm guessing the store might pull it from the shelves. I'm sorry but you kinda take a risk when you eat raw cookie dough anyway, don't you? That's what I always thought so I never eat raw cookie dough, but then again it really isn't all that tempting for me anyway. I hope that my store still carries the cookie dough because I love to keep some of these in the freezer for special times when temptation hits!

All This for $22.06 at Pick N Save

This week wasn't quite as good as last week but still a decent week. I got all this for $22.06 which would have normally cost $56.34 so a savings of 61%. This is what I got:

4 Eggo BakeShop frozen products
1 Seapak frozen shrimp
1 Whole milk
1 Salt
1 pkg. spinach
6 bananas
2 Peter Pan peanut butters
8 jars of Ragu
4 boxes pasta
1 tub cream cheese

There was a promotion running on the Ragu and the pasta. If you got 2 jars of Ragu you got a box of pasta free. I had $1 coupons for 2 jars of Ragu that doubled and there was also another promotion where if you bought $15 worth of products(Ragu included) you got a coupon for $5 off your next purchase. I used this $5 coupon on my next transaction. It worked out very well. I guess we'll be having lots of spaghetti in the weeks to come. I also have $1 coupons for the Peter Pan and for the Eggo Bakeshop that doubled as well.

I love that Pick N Save doubled every Wed. I know there are other places that double every day or even triple sometimes but I'm very happy that we atleast have one store that does some bit of doubling. It can be a pain to have to follow all the "rules"ei. $25 purchase to get coupons to double, only 5 coupons, etc. but it is nice to be able to save so much!

*If I have time later, I'll try to track down the links for the Eggo and the Ragu.

All This for $33.43

Today I went to my Pick N Save and scored big. I got all this stuff for $33.43 my total before coupons and sales would have been $157.44 so I saved about 79%.

3 lbs. ground chuck
3 lbs. chicken breasts
2 Kraft singles cheese
12 Crystal Light drink mixes

2 3lb. bags of apples
4 packages Rhodes dinner rolls
6 packages Chinet plates
6 boxed Jello pudding

Free Insect Spray

*Edited to add: Apparently they are $1.99 at our nearby Walgreens and we aren't able to use a coupon for over the amount at ours so it didn't work. But maybe it's different at other stores.

I'm told that Walgreens has some Cutter insect repellent spray for $2(not a sale price) and there is a $2 coupon on smartsource.com Use it to get some free spray before the mosquito season begins.

Target Deals

Colgate Wisp- $1.99-there is a $.50 target coupon and there is also a $.50 manu. coupon here. So for $99 you get a 4 pack of these mini toothbrushes. These are great to stash in your purse for a time when you really need to do something about your teeth but you don't have a toothbrush. I've used them twice already in just a few weeks.

Easy Mac- $.77 combined with $1 off 2 Target coupon makes them $.27 each or you can get them free if you print off this coupon $1/2 manu. coupon. These are also a favorite of mine since they are quick and easy to make and me & the girls love them for lunch.

This is actually a link to a compilation of printable coupons. They are organized alphabetically so you may even find some other good coupons you'd like.

Diaper Study

I just got signed up for this today. Too bad they wouldn't take both girls since they are in size 4 but still. Here are the details if your little one is in size 4 diapers:

On April 24th I'll be receiving a free pack of diapers via UPS and then a week later they'll call for my answers to the included survey questions that come with the diapers. A few weeks after that I'll get a $10 check in the mail. So--a free bag of diapers--and a $10 check!

Call NOW if you want to get into this study. They fill up fast!

Babies must be between 22-37 pounds and wear a size 4 diaper.

Bedtime Stories DVD

Another blog that I check posted a great deal on the Bedtime Stories DVD. Instead of typing it all out again, I'll just have you visit her blog and you can see the details yourself. The dvd will come out to be about $1.99 after coupon and rebates. I haven't seen the movie but I think I may get it because it's just about as much as renting it once.

Request a Coupon Booklet

You can request a coupon booklet from Simple and Delicious . There are $10 worth of coupons including a coupon for a free bottle of ketchup.

I've been stocking up on these because they are super yummy. If you're lucky, you can find the smaller bags for $.89 and get them free.

Pace Salsa-Deal is Over

If you click here, you can print off up to 10 coupons for $4 off Pace salsa. It will take awhile for the first coupon to print out, so be patient. Then after it prints, just hit the back button. Keep doing this until it tells you you've printed the limit. This is an awesome deal because I'm pretty sure you can find it for less than $4 so free salsa. We use this stuff alot so I was excited to print off 20 of these coupons(10 on each computer).

Printing Bricks Coupons

A few people were having problems printing some of the Bricks coupons(these are the ones that you can only print two of) and thought this info might be helpful:

Sometimes people paste Coupons.com/Bricks links that they recieved in FireFox, which do not work in Internet Explorer or vice versa. You get the "Please wait..." or "Please Install The Coupon Printer" even if you already did.

This trick will allow you to simply change 2 characters in the URL to make a FireFox link work in Internet Explorer and vice versa

Here's how easy it is, the following is a FireFox link:
hxxp://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=ri3peuo59687503&bt=wg&o=53740&ci=1&c=GM&p=TyQrvJAY

note the "wg" in the URL. This link gives the repeating Please Install The Coupon Printer in Internet Explorer.

To make that link an Internet Explorer link we simply change "wg" to "wi" OR "vi" (in this case, both variations work, other coupons it may be wi or vi, trial and error):
hxxp://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=ri3peuo59687503&bt=wi&o=53740&ci=1&c=GM&p=TyQrvJAY
or
hxxp://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=ri3peuo59687503&bt=vi&o=53740&ci=1&c=GM&p=TyQrvJAY

UPDATE: If you want to print Bricks coupons on a MAC with Safari, replace the "wg", "wi", or "vi" to "xs". You can also do the reverse, take a Safari link "xs" to IE "wi" or "vi" or to FireFox "wg".

You do the opposite if you want to print an Internet Explorer link in FireFox!

All You

Get a free issue of All You. Check the bill me later option and then cancel after you get your first issue. It's a great magazine you can get at Wal-Mart with lots of coupons in it. This months has over $51 in savings. If you are interested in subscribing to it, I'd recommend getting it here. You can get 24 issues for $20.

Disney Dvds Even Cheaper

Okay, just discovered another rebate you can use towards the Bolt/Lilo & Stitch deal. There is a $5 rebate on any Disney dvd here. You just have to purchase 2 packs of Rayovac batteries. Since there is no limit(except for people in RI) you can do it for both dvds for a total of $10. It states that you can send in a copy of the receipt so that is why you can do both this one and the $4 one. Also, the Disney dvds have a few of the proof of purchases things on them so that shouldn't be a problem either.

So my previous total was $12.98 in my last post for both dvds but when you take off the $10 mail in rebates you'll pay $2.98 for two Disney dvds. Now how can you pass that up!

Cheap Disney Dvds

This Tuesday Bolt and Lilo & Stitch go on sale at Target for $15.99 each. When you buy both, you are suppose to get $10 off. There is also a printable $5 coupon for Bolt here and there is a $4 mail in rebate for Bolt here. You just have to buy a Creamette brand product(there are other brands you could purchase) and those are currently on sale at Sentry for $1.

So here's the rundown:
Bolt dvd $15.99
Lilo & Stitch dvd $15.99
$31.98
-$5 Bolt coupon
-$10 for purchasing both dvds
$16.98 - $4 mail in rebate = $12.98 for two Disney dvds.

If you are a member of the Disney Movie Rewards program, you'll be able to add an additional 200 points. If you want more info are that program, read more here.

Pick N Save 3-25

For double coupon day, the best deal is getting the GM cereal. When you buy 6 boxes you get $10 off and a coupon for $3.50 towards milk. There is a $1 printable for Honey Nut Cheerios here. The boxes of cereal are typically about as low as $3.29. This is what I'm doing:
4 boxes Honey Nut Cheerios 13.16
1 box of Cheerios 3.29
1 box of Multi Grain Cheerios 3.89 (this stuff is usually more expensive)
Bread $1.45
Grapes $2
Potatoes $1.48 (those things to get my total at $25 to double the coupons)
$25.27
-$8($1 Honey Nut Cheerios coupons doubled)
-$2($1 Multi Grain Cheerios-got in the mail)
-$.55 Cheerios coupon -found on coupons.com
-$10 for buying 6 boxes
$4.74 Get $3.50 coupon for milk

Some other good deals:
Toaster Strudels $1.79 - $1 coupon here doubled = FREE

Ken's Salad Dressing $2 -$1 coupons doubled from 3-8 SS = FREE

Lipton Noodles/Rice Sides $1, Buy 10 get Rotisserie Chicken free $16.50(guessing chicken is worth $6.50)
- $6 (3 $1 off 3 coupons doubled from 1-18 RP )
-$6.50
$4, Awesome deal!

GE Energy Smart Light Bulbs $2.99 -$1 coupons doubled from 1-4 SS or April All You = $.99

Arm & Hammer detergent $2.99 -$1 coupons doubled from here = $.99

I am doing several different transactions in order to do all these deals. I'll have to add more food items(or items that I have free coupons for) to get my totals at $25 to double. I really wish we didn't have so many rules for doubling but I guess we're lucky they double at all.

Walgreens EasySaver Rebates

For this month's EasySaver Rebates I did the following:
Axe Hair Styler $6.99 get $6.99
Walgreens Extra Strength Quick gels $2.99 get $2.99
Tuf trash bags 2/$7 get $3
ConAgra food buy $10 get $5
All for a total of $19.78(I get an additional 10% because I put it on a Walgreens giftcard) I of course used all my register rewards from the Huggies deal a few weeks ago to pay for these so they didn't cost me anything.

The deal for the ConAgra food is to buy 13 cans of Hunts tomato sauce. It is priced at 5/$4 so 13 cans will get you at $10.40 but then you use the coupon in this weeks Walgreen's ad to make each can $.39 so you'd actually pay $5.07 and then get $5 back from the rebate.

1 Febreeze Air Effects

For $32.91( after you take into consideration the $15 coupons for my groceries) All that stuff at sale price was 73.91 so I will have saved $41 and gotten some great products.

Mail Day

Just got my P&G coupon booklet with over $120 worth of coupons in it. Awhile back there had been something in the inserts about purchasing $50 worth of P&G products and then sending in the receipts for this coupon booklet. Luckily I didn't actually spend $50 on the stuff with all the coupons and such(but got $50 worth). There are some pretty good coupons in it. Lots of $1 off Tide, Downy, Gain, Bounty, Bounce,Charmin,Crest and $2 off Pampers. There are 84 coupons so obviously too many to mention. These will go great with Pick N Save's deal going on this week. I'll be sure to post my scenerios for this coming Wednesday's Double Coupon day.

Applesauce for $.14 at Target

There is a $1 Target coupon here and a $.55 Motts coupon here and when combined you can get a 6 pack of Motts applesauce for about $.14. You can print off two of the Motts coupons(per computer) and an unlimited amount of the Target ones.

Walgreens Huggies Run

So I went to three Walgreens stores to get all 33 packs of Huggies diapers(I did get 6 of them last night).
I spent $192.46 out of pocket. I got back $90 in RRs and will be able to mail in for $24.75 in rebates. Which means I spent $77.71 for 33 packs or $2.35 a pack.
At the price of $10 a pack(+ tax) I saved $270.77 using the coupons, RR deal and the mail in rebate.

Here are the coupons I used:
(12) $5 Huggies printables

(9) $3 Huggies printable

(27) $3 Walgreens IVC coupon from Activity book

(12) $1.50 Huggies coupons from inserts and home mailers

$6 RR from a few weeks ago

(2) $5 RR that I got last night from buying the diapers-since the $10 RR didn't print even though the signs were out, the manager printed these off for me

$10 Walgreens giftcard that I also got last night from buying the diapers and the RR didn't print out

Very Cheap Huggies Diapers

Walgreens is having a register reward deal where you buy $25 worth of Kimberly Clark products and get $10 in RR. Huggies diapers are included in this deal and are priced at $10. There are $5 and $3 printable coupons here. The $5 one is for Gentle Care diapers which are sizes newborn-2 and the $3 one is for Natural Fit which is sizes 3 and up. (Note: The $5 coupons will work on the other kind of diapers but that is not what the coupon was intended for so it would be considered coupon fraud so make sure you use the right coupons on the right stuff)

Here are some scenerios:

3 packs of Huggies diapers $30
-$15 coupons(use three of the $5 coupons if you are able to get 3 of them, print limit is 2 per computer)
$15+ tax Get $10 RR and mail save your receipts to mail in for $.75 rebate on each pack
So three packs of diapers for $2.75 after RR and mail in rebate.

or
3 packs of Huggies diapers $30
-$13 (2 of the $5 and 1 of the $3)
$17 + tax Get $10 RR
3 packs for $4.75

Luckily I've had family print off many of these coupons and will be hitting all the Walgreens in my area to stock up on diapers. This is an awesome deal and would also make great baby gifts if you don't have kids in diapers! There were also some $1.50 coupons in the coupon inserts a few weeks back so if you have these you'd still be able to get a pretty decent deal. There is also a Walgreens Activity book that you can buy for $.99 and has a $1 Walgreens Huggies coupon in it. It should take off for all the diapers you purchase since that's how Walgreens coupons typically work. Not all stores have this so be on the lookout. They are back by the pharmacy section. I'll be venturing out today so I'll be sure to post pictures and stats of what I got and for how much. This is such an exciting sale!!!!

Rice Krispies Treats

This week at Target, the Rice Krispies Treats are $2. These are part of that buy 5 get a $5 giftcard deal. This is not advertised and when I went there were no signs up. To double check, I scanned a box at one of those price scanners. It showed the $2 price and also said it was part of a giftcard deal. Target just came out with a $.50 Rice Krispies Treat coupon which you can print here (you may need to be a member to print but it's easy to join). So 5 boxes at $2 ea. makes your total $10. Then if you happen to have a $5 target giftcard from doing this deal earlier(on poptarts or nutrigrain bars) use that along with the $.50 coupons to get them for $2.50.
Also, there was a $1 Renuzit coupon in the paper last week. If you combine that with the $1 Target coupon(also found on previous link) you can get it for free. It was priced at $1.92 at my store.

Shopping Trip for $1.20

5 Rice Krispy Treats, 6 Puffs, 1 Carnation Instant Breakfast, 1 pack of Ensure, 1 6 pk. of Charmin, 2 Pampers, 1 8 Roll Bounty, 1 Cascade, 1 Tide, 2 Dawns, 2 Act mouthwash, 1 Renuzit Air Spray, & 1 box of sandwich bags

I went shopping tonight at Target and CVS and this is what I got for $1.20. I actually spent $8.19 out of pocket but I will mail in for a $6.99 rebate on the Ensure. Most of the stuff I got at CVS but I will explain in another post how you can get the Rice Krispie Treats and Renuzit at Target.

Dairy Queen Sweet Deals

Dairy Queen is launching a new deal. You can mix and match nine menu items, choosing two for $3, three for $4 or four for $5. You have the freedom of choice with more than 20,000 combinations.

I think I would try the Chicken Wrap, Salad and ice cream cone. All for $4. Might make a cheap date night.

To try this for free, I would tell all my friends about it, which is what I'm doing right now.

Check it out here for more details.

Cheap Eyeglasses

I just read a post on another blog that reminded me of great deal I got a few years ago. I paid $8 + 4.95 shipping for prescription eyeglasses. They are great and I get compliments on them all the time. I always tell people that I got them for $8 and they are shocked. One lady that worked at Bath & Body Works actually ran to get some paper and had me write down the website so she could check it out for herself. Zenni Optical offers a wide range of prescription eyeglasses(even children's) for as low as $8. You can even get them tinted so you can have a pair of prescription sunglasses. I've gotta do that before this summer!

Update on Swagbucks

So at the beginning of the month I signed up for Swagbucks and mentioned it here. I just cashed in for 2 $5 Amazon.com giftcards. Since they just recently changed their giftcards to all e-giftcards I decided not to save up for the Target $20 one. So in less than a month I earned $10 in giftcards (with some help from some of you who signed up through my link, thank you!). If I could keep this up, I'd have about $100 saved up to do some Christmas shopping on Amazon. So if you haven't signed up yet, I encourage you to. It really doesn't take too much time to do. Anytime you need to search for something, just type in in at swagbucks. Usually I'll get a buck or two after a couple of searches. If not, then I try again later in the day. And if you tell others about it and they sign up under your referral link then you get a buck every time they do. Pretty sweet! Who can't use a little extra especially at this time? Sign up here

Free Kashi Entree

If you sign up here you'll get a coupon mailed to you for a free Kashi entree. Don't you just love freebie coupons!

Do you shop at Kohl's?

If so, you may want to sign up here and you'll get a coupon for $5 off your next purchase. There is no minimum purchase so if you can find something for $5 you'll get if for free. I did this awhile back and signed up a few of my e-mail accounts and got some pretty good deals.

What can you get for under $10 at Target?

5 boxes of Poptarts
5 boxes of nutrigrain bars
3 bags of Goldfish crackers
$9.40

So here's the deal: When you buy 5 boxes of selected Kellog's products(Poptarts, Nutrigrain bars, Rice Krispie Treats, Special K bars) you get a $5 giftcard.

I bought the Poptarts because I had 2 $1 off 2 coupons from the newpaper inserts and there are $1 off 2 Target coupons here.

I got the Nutrigrain bars because I had 2 $1 off 2 coupons from the newspaper inserts.

The boxes are $2.54 ea. so I paid $.74 ea. for the Poptarts and $1.14 ea. for the Nutrigrain bars (after coupons and the giftcards).

Now here's the trick, you can't actually use the $5 giftcards for this current transaction but I used a $10 Target giftcard I had earned from creating a group at Lilaguide.com and getting 5 members to join it. So I used that giftcard but then got 2 $5 giftcards afterwards to replace it.

Then the goldfish crackers are $1.79 and there is a $1 coupon here making them $.79 a bag.

More Walgreens

Here are a few more of the Easysaver Rebate Deals for this month that are definitely worth doing:

Revlon Age Defying Spa Concealor or Spa Foundation $9.99 Get $9.99 ($1 coupons from previous inserts)

Revlon Creme Lip Gloss $9.99 Get $9.99 ($1 coupons from previous inserts)

Walgreens Multi-Purpose No Rub Solution $1.99 Get $1.99

Windex Cleaning Wipes on sale this week 2/$5, there are printable coupons for $1.50 and then you get $1 rebate on each (limit 4-which includes the scrubbing bubbles, and there was also a mail in rebate form from Windex a few weeks back so if you have that form you can get $2.50 from the company)

Okay, so I got all these things:
1 Garnier Product $3.99 (-$1 coupon)
1 Zucol $7.99 (-$2 coupon)
1 Thermacare $2.49
1 Revlon Concealor $9.99 (-$1 coupon)
1 Revlon Lip Gloss $9.99 (-$1 coupon)
1 Walgreens Contact Solution $1.99
2 Scrubbing Bubbles Wipes $5 (-$3 coupon)
2 Windex Wipes $5 (-$3 coupons) *Mail in rebate for $2.50

Paid-$35.44 Get back $42.94 or $46.98 if I choose the Walgreens gift card and get an additional 10%

I would guess it took me less than an hour to do all the shopping and entering the info. online for the rebate so I got paid more than $11/hr. to shop plus I got all that free stuff. Now when you look at it that way, how can you afford to not do it?

P&G Deal

I was shopping at Pick N Save today and saw a form for a $15 gas giftcard when you purchased $40 in P& G products($10 giftcard if you bought $35). The forms were by the service desk although after I purchased my stuff, one printed out through the catalina machine. I decided I would spend my $40 in diapers. I got one large box of Luvs(size 3) for $16.99 and 2 mega packs (size 3) for 11.69 ea. which brought my total to $40.37(not including tax). After I factor in the $15 giftcard, I'm spending $25.37 for 224 diapers or $.11/diaper. There are so many possibilities for this deal because there are lots of qualifying products such as Tide, Bounce, Charmin, Covergirl, Crest, Dawn, Pampers, Luvs, Swiffer, etc just to name a few. You have until 3/1/09 to make your purchases and then the form must be postmarked by 4/15/09. It's limit 1 per household. This week's Sunday paper had the new P& G coupon insert in it with lots of good coupons you could use on this deal Also, it might be wise to do this on a Wed. when it's double coupon day and then you'd already be above the $25 min. to double the coupons.

Swagbucks.com

I've been doing swagbucks for just a little while so it's pretty new to me. You sign up and make an account with them, then just search like you would with any other search engine and you could win swagbucks. They are "won" randomly so it helps to do it throughout the day since it could be different times of day that trigger them better. Then you can redeem your swagbucks for lots of cool things including giftcards. For example, you can get a Starbucks $5 giftcard with 50 swagbucks or a $20 Target giftcard with 220 swagbucks(there are many more). I'm going to try for the Target giftcard so if I could somehow win 4 swagbucks per day it would take me just under 2 months to get a $20 giftcard. Not too bad since I'm on the computer alot anyway and have to search for things. I might as well get some free stuff for doing it. Also, if you have friends you can refer to swagbucks(like I'm doing right now) you can earn a swagbuck every time they do (up to 100 swagbucks for each friend) so if you're interested in doing it, click on this link and then you'll be helping me out too!

Walgreens ESR for February

It's a new month so Walgreens has some new rebates for their Easysaver Rebate(posted about the ink refill last month). I love this rebate because you can easily enter your receipt info. online and there is no waste of a stamp. These are a few of the good deals for the month:

Zucol Cold Care $7.99 get $7.99 back($2 coupon makes it a moneymaker)

Garnier Fructis $3.99 get $3.99 there are still some $1 coupons from some inserts awhile ago to make it a moneymaker

Thermacare Heat Wrap $2.49 get $2.49

I used my rebate check I got from last months rebates ($7.50) to buy these items and then I'll send in and get more money back. It's a great way to keep this game going and getting free stuff along the way.

There is a new printable coupon for $1.10 off one can of Progresso soup. According to another blogger, this goes for $1.50 at Wal-Mart-prices may vary but I'll certainly be printing these out and checking the price at my local Wal-Mart.

2 Rings & 1 Necklace

So one of my mypoints.com point earning opportunities was signing up for dollars4 gold.com and getting the free g-pak to send my gold in. I got it the other day and went through my jewelry box to see what I had that I didn't wear anymore. I'm not really into yellow gold anymore, I prefer the white gold much better. I have a ring that I wore in high school that had my birthstone(opal) and then a few teeny tiny diamonds on the side. A few months after wearing it, the opal fell out and I wasn't able to wear it anymore. I decided I really didn't need to hold on to that anymore. Then I had another opal ring that my Grandma had given me. It also had some teeny tiny diamonds on the side so I decided to pry those babies outta there since they weren't going to be paying me for the precious stones. It wasn't too much effort to get the diamonds out. They looked much bigger in the ring,LOL. I saved them along with the opal from that ring. Then I had a necklace that I had gotten years ago but never wore. Like I said, I just don't like yellow gold. So I sent away my three items in hopes of getting rich. Okay, not rich but I thought I'd get a few bucks for them and since they had just been sitting in my jewelery box for years unused...what the heck!
So I got my check in the mail today and the grand total is..................... $13.75. Okay, maybe not quite what I was expecting but I don't regret it. Luckily though if I was unhappy with the amount, I would be able to contact them within 10 days of the check date and be able to get my items back. Hey, I can get quite alot for $13.75 at CVS :)

Free Green Cleaners

I just heard about this on another blog I visit. If you register here you'll receive a full-size cleaning solution. After you've used the product, go back to the website and either write a review, review it on your blog, or write about it anywhere where others can view it. It sounds like you might be able to get a few cleaning products to try out with just a little bit of effort on your part.

Pick N Save 1/22-1/28

*Edited because apparently the printable coupons that say do not double can actually be doubled-it just means that the store can't seek double the value from mftr.(I haven't tried it yet just what fellow coupon blogger told me)

General Mills Cereal Deal-
Buy 6 boxes get $10 off instantly and get $3.75 coupon for milk
The cheapest kind that you can get run about $3.19. You can print off two coupons(per computer so if you have two computer like I do you can get more) for $.75 off Kix cereal. You can print them off either at www.coupon.com or if you sign up at www.mypoints.com(please get a referral from me please) they also have the same coupons and then you get 10 points for every redeemed coupon and if you redeem 5 in a month you get additional points(I forgot to mention that in my mypoints post). There had been some cereal coupons in the paper awhile back so if you have those there was a $1 off three boxes. Here is what I'm planning to do:
3 boxes Kix $9.57
3 boxes of whatever else is cheap(usually cheerios and golden grahams) $9.57
$19.14
-$10 instantly
-$2.25 Kix coupons(I was able to print off three coupons from two computers-$4.50 on Wed. )
-$1 General Mill coupons(or if I wait till Wed.-Double Coupon Daze $2)
-$3.75 milk coupon(I'm factoring this into it because I was going to have to buy milk anyway)
= $2.14 for 6 boxes of cereal so about $.36 ea. (or $-1.35 on Wed. so getting paid for cereal!!!)

*Also, I plan on getting a few other things so that I will reach the $25 min. spent to get the coupons to double*

Cheap Kashi Bars

Target has their Kashi bars on sale for $2.67. Use this $2 coupon to get them for $.67. You better print these coupons quickly because the bricks coupons have a maximum print limit so if everyone else in the world is printing this hot coupon it won't last long.

Panera Bread 1/28

PaneraBread

Tomorrow (Wednesday, January 28, 2009) Panera Bread stores across the nation are offering free coffee all day long and free samples of their new breakfast items. As always, I recommend you call your store to make sure they are participating before you stop by.

Heard about this deal here.

$5 Movies

Marcus Theaters has a promotion called Spotlight Movie Night. They've had this for awhile but it seems that they've changed it a little. Every Wed. or Thurs. night you can go see a certain movie for $5 admission. You have to sign up on their website to get this offer e-mailed to you. Then on Tues. of every week you'll get an e-mail and click on the link to get your coupon. It has your name and information printed on it so it can't be used by anyone else. The movie options are also on the coupon so this week the movies are: Gran Torino, Bride Wars, Last Chance Harvey, & Defiance (so they are usually good movies offered). It says you can print out one coupon per family member. I also thought this might be nice to do for a Girl's Night sometime. So be sure to sign up!

Babycenter.com

I have referenced babycenter a few times now so I feel like I should write a little about that. I joined babycenter a few years back and have loved it ever since. Being a stay at home mom, I feel like I don't have much contact with the outside world but now with babycenter and the couponing board that I follow I feel a little less confined. It's a large group of woman(some who stay at home and some who work) and we all share our deals with each other. It's a great network. A lot of the main people that post have been doing it for awhile and are very helpful. We also have a lot of off topic posts about our personal lives so we also get to know each other a little. A few of the woman have had fertility issues so when they posted about finally getting their + test, we were all excited for them. I know many of you don't have the time to follow a board but if you're ever interested in checking it out, I invite you. The ladies are very hardworking and have put together a few resources you may want to bookmark. We have a google document with lots of printable coupon links and also one for hot deals. That one gets updated usually weekly with each store's deals.

Walgreens 1/25-1/31

One thing that jumps out at me for this week is their printer ink refill on sale for $5. There are $3 coupons that I found right on the counter at the photo center. There is also a $5 Walgreens EasySaver rebate. So potentially you can make $3 off this deal. If you've never had your ink refilled there before I would recommend the black ink refill as opposed to the color(atleast in my experience).

Ink Refill $5
-$3 Walgreens coupon for ink
=$2 but you'll get $5 back from MIR

There are two ways to redeem the $5 rebate. You can mail it in. You'll just need to grab one of the Easysaver catalogs which are located in the front of the Walgreens right by the ads. Or you could enter your receipt info. online and hopefully your rebate will come a little quicker.

Caregiver's Marketplace

For those of you that use Huggies diapers, this website is great for mailing in your receipts and getting a little extra back. You just have to print out the cash back form on their website and the fill it out, include your receipts with 5 qualifying purchases and mail it in. You get $.75 (it had been $1) for each package of Huggies diapers you buy. This makes any diaper deal even sweeter when you can factor in this. They do give rebates for a few other items such as Balmex, Cottonelle, and NatureMade. Check out the form to get the exact products.

Piggly Wiggly 1/21-1/27

*edited because my math was off*

Unilever Buy $30 Get $10 off instantly

I ordered coupons(from ebay) as soon as I saw this deal. This is what I'm doing:

Trans. 1

2 Skippy 1.98

29 packs of lipton 28.71

30.69

-$.75 skippy coupons (coupons are $.75/2 Skippy from 1/18 RP)

-$10.50 lipton coupons (coupons are $.75/2 Knorr-Lipton sides from 1/18 RP)

-$10 instant savings

$9.44

Trans. 2

2 packs lipton 1.98

20 skippy 28.80(first two are $.99 ea. after that 1.49 ea.)

30.78

-$.75 lipton coupons

-$7.50 skippy coupons

-$10 pig
$12.53

So I will be spending $21.97 at the store and I spent $4.60 on the coupons for a total of $26.57 divided by 52 items comes out to about $.51 each. And we go through peanut butter pretty quickly in our house so this won't last as long as you think. The Knorr/Lipton sides are great for a quick and easy meal. They come in rice or noodles in a variety of flavors so it's great to pair with some chicken (our favorite is to get a rotisserie chicken and cut it up) and a vegatable.

Taylortown Preview & Coupon Organization

Taylortown Preview is a great website to see what coupons are coming out in the upcoming paper. If you don't have a weekly subscription, it's great to know if it's worth your while to buy the paper that week for the coupons or not. She usually posts the coupons for the coming Sunday by Wednesday night. Sometimes it takes her a little longer though. It's also great to look up when a certain coupon came out.
If you don't want to spend the time cutting out each coupon and then organizing them you can simply keep the inserts intact and file them away. FYI-each insert has the date printed alongside the edge like on a book spine. Then if you need a certain coupon, just look up when it came out. There are usually three different types of inserts that come out:

SmartSource

Red Plum or also called Valassis (you can sorta see the date along the top side)

P & G.
The P & G usually comes out once a month and has coupons like Tide, Pampers, etc.

My coupon binder I keep in my purse (well, one of 4, LOL)

I usually clip out all my coupons but I do get extra inserts from my mom and mother in law so I keep those inserts in tact and file them away for later use.

You can keep the inserts in something like this-loosely

or in a large file binder like this and keep them organized by week

These are just things that I do and work for me. If you have any other suggestions or ideas , please share by leaving a comment.

Diapers.com

*this deal discovered by one of friends at babycenter and here's her blog (she's doing a $15 cvs giftcard giveaway too)

I did e-mail this deal to many of you already but just incase I missed someone here it is:

I just wanted to pass along this diaper deal to all of you. I ordered for the first time from diapers.com. This deal doesn't require you to even leave the house(well, you do have to mail in for the rebate so you'll have to walk out to the mailbox ;) ). I bought a large box of Luvs size 3 (204 ct.) and 2 jumbo packs of Luvs size 4 (34 ct.) for $42.97 but then will get back $14.97 in a mail in rebate for a total price paid of $27. That's a pretty darn good diaper deal, just under $.10/diaper. So all you've gotta do it go to www.diapers.com put over $49 worth of diapers in your cart, enter code: NICX1226 . That code will get an automatic $10 off your order and getting over $49 gives you free shipping. Then for the mail in rebate go to this website
( http://www.diapers.com/helpcenter/parenting.htm ) and follow the directions. You'll have to print it off and mail it in along with proof of purchase from diapers.com
Hope that helps!!!
